☕ ② Ministry at 8068 Café

A time for Jesus to connect with people through me, to serve, and to reveal His love and power.

Although the timing is still uncertain, I carry a vision to one day open a café after sending my parents home to heaven. The dream is to create a café in Tokyo where young people, drawn by the Lord, can find belonging—a space filled with prayer, prophecy, and worship, where the family of God (Ekklesia) is organically connected and grows together.

In preparation for that future, the Lord has led me to begin serving as a trainee volunteer staff at 8068 Café in Higashimurayama, Tokyo, starting this August.

Though the café is small and already has enough hands, I personally requested to volunteer without pay as a learning opportunity—and they graciously welcomed me. While caring for my parents, I’ll begin with a gentle rhythm: 2–3 days a week, about 3 hours per shift.

From Prophetic Café to Everyday Conversations

Previously, I served on the team at Arise Tokyo Christian Church’s “Prophetic Café,” where we would share words beginning with, “The Lord says…”

But 8068 Café is different. This is a place to practice hearing people’s hearts through ordinary conversation—and discerning the voice of the Holy Spirit in natural, loving ways.

It requires a new kind of relationship, and even a new vocabulary.

Prayer Requests

For the ministry at 8068 Café:

  • That I would serve with a heart ready to learn about running a café, keeping the vision of the future in mind.

  • That I would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading in conversations with those I meet, entrusting every interaction to the Lord.

(Since this is not a “prophetic café,” I pray for new language and relational wisdom.)
